After much digging and family history
research, I came across the location of what I refer to now as "The Old
Thomas Farm". No I do not mean it is a farm for old Thomas's..... :-) It
is the location of the earliest Thomas family ancestors I have found so
far. It was settled in the late 1800's by James Speck Thomas, my great-great-great
grandfather. There are many more things to learn about this man, and his
travels and ventures. Some of the stories I have heard about will be great
to share with those of you who have been in the dark as I have for years
about our families history. It is a story of struggle, adventure, love,
and heartbreak. There is a story to tell, I hope to one day tell that story.
But there is much more work to be done. So enjoy these few photos I have
placed here, and be assured there will be many more to follow in the months
to come.
